Start from the South

This is a full-day expedition starting and ending in Los Cristianos, a journey to a completely different Tenerife – wild, humid, and incredibly green. From the south, we head straight towards the mystical Anaga Mountains, the oldest part of the island. The route is rich in viewpoints (miradores), where we will stop to admire dramatic cliffs and dense forests.

To make the most of the day and ensure we see all the planned attractions, we highly recommend bringing your own provisions (e.g., sandwiches). Our sightseeing schedule is intense, while the local pace of life can be… unhurried. Waiting times in restaurants—even for simple dishes—can take up to an hour, so having your own snacks is the best way to avoid losing precious moments waiting at a table.

We guarantee the tour’s departure regardless of the number of participants. We travel in small groups (maximum 8 people), which means that for smaller bookings, other guests may join the group. However, the tour will take place even with as few as two people.

Additional information:

Worth bringing: trekking shoes or at least sports footwear. A warm sweatshirt/windbreaker and comfortable long trousers are also good to have, even if just in a backpack.

What we will see along the route:

Candelaria

The spiritual capital of Tenerife, where the patron saint of the islands – the Black Madonna – is located in the basilica. On the square in front of the temple proudly stand statues of the Guanches, the island’s former kings, guarding the ocean shore. It is an ideal place to learn about history and enjoy a moment of reflection accompanied by the sound of the waves.

Playa de Las Teresitas

The most famous beach in the north, created with golden sand brought directly from the Sahara. Sheltered by a breakwater, the water here is always calm, and the palm grove together with the view of the Anaga Mountains creates a postcard-like scenery.

Taganana

One of the oldest settlements on the island, a white village “clinging” to the steep slopes of the Anaga Mountains. The road leading to it is a series of winding turns full of views, and the village itself has preserved the atmosphere of old, world-isolated Tenerife.

Benijo

A wild, volcanic beach with black sand, considered one of the most photogenic places on the island. Rock formations rising from the ocean (Roques de Anaga) and the power of the elements create an incredible, raw impression – this is the end of the road and absolute wilderness.

Chinamada

A unique village with houses carved into the rock, which will also be the place of our active recreation. We will take an incredibly scenic walk here, and after a short and pleasant ascent of about 15 minutes, we will stand on the mountain summit. From there, a breathtaking view unfolds, allowing us to admire both parts of Tenerife’s northern coastline at the same time.

Pico del Inglés

One of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Anaga Mountains. From this “balcony,” a 360-degree panorama opens up over dense laurel forests and jagged mountain ridges, and on a clear day you can see Teide and the neighboring Gran Canaria.

Tunel de las Hadas

A magical section of laurel forest where the tree canopies intertwine above the road, forming a natural green tunnel. An extraordinary atmosphere of humidity and shade prevails here, giving the impression of stepping into a fairytale world of ancient nature.
